Hello! I'm a designer living in Seattle. I’m all about digital culture and new technology.
My values are user- and business-centered. I bring an analytical and empathetic mind to problem-solving. I have 5+ years dedicated to my craft and have yet to say, “That’s not my job.” Let's talk! ⚡
I conducted a competitive analysis of the 10ft / TV landscape to understand each product's information architecture, search, browse and recommendations experiences. This project was completed with my 20% time.
The goal of this work was to engage the larger Mixer team (Mixer + Xbox), create a shared understanding and inform future design and feature recommendations.
I led weekly checkpoints with partners to discuss findings, each product's model and how they related to ours. I captured feedback and addressed comments and concerns.
How do you get started without a dedicated research partner?
The work with Mixer.com began with intent but without a research partner. We knew an extensive streamer insights project was slated for a potential new hire but what could design do right now?
As a designer, you move forward amid ambiguity. To become familiar with the space and create a foundation for the project, I began with this project. I consulted often with Xbox researchers to refine my thinking and method.
Near the end of this project, we hired a dedicated Mixer researcher and I shared this document with them. It provided an introduction to the project and, having engaged early with the larger team, a jumpstart for the work.
The roundup shared with partners and stakeholders.
This work directly informed Mixer Web Discovery & Information Architecture.
